Development Coalition was established in April 2005 as a collaborative support network of Yonkers civic leaders, neighborhood associations and community groups from throughout the city facing common concerns about economic redevelopment. By sharing our knowledge and experiences with each other, Yonkers residents have begun to forge alliances around common interests that strengthen our ability to shape the future of our city.

The Charter Revision Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to:
City Charter §C3-4(B), which relates to succession to the position of acting mayor in the event a Mayor dies or leaves office; and
City Charter §C3-7(B), which relates to the City Council’s time within which to approve or to disapprove appointments of commissioners by the Mayor.
Members of the public are invited to attend and speak on these two proposed changes to the Yonkers City Charter.
