A regular meeting of the Charter Revision Commission will immediately follow the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, August 4th at 7:00 p.m.
Community First! Development Coalition was established in April 2005 as a collaborative support network of Yonkers civic leaders, neighborhood associations and community groups from throughout the city facing common concerns about economic redevelopment. By sharing our knowledge and experiences with each other, Yonkers residents have begun to forge alliances around common interests that strengthen our ability to shape the future of our city.

A local law relating to the landmark review process: adding a new part to the Charter regarding the designation of landmarks and historic districts; requiring planning board approval for any new designation of landmarks and historic districts by the Landmarks Preservation Board; requiring the Landmarks Preservation Board to hold a public hearing prior to the Planning Board’s approval of a landmark or historic district; granting the right of appeal to the Planning Board to any owner of a property designated as a landmark or part of a historic district whose application for a certificate of appropriateness has been disapproved by the Landmarks Preservation Board.
