Please be advised that a joint meeting of the Education Committee and the Intergovernmental Relations Committee has been scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2009 at 5:30 pm in the Yonkers City Council Chambers, 40 South Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10701. Elected officials will be attending from the State Senate and Assembly, as well as representatives from our Congressional offices.
The following item will be discussed:
1. Update on the Yonkers Public Schools budget,
2. NYS Budget and its effects on the Yonkers Schools,
3. NYS Budget and its effects on local infrastructure,
4. The potential for Federal Stimulus money to fund projects in Yonkers or regional projects that might help Yonkers,
5. Any additional items that may properly come before these Committees.
